Google's First Doodle: The Burning Man Festival

A History of Google Doodles

The first Google Doodle appeared on the 30th of August 1998. It represented the Burning Man Festival, which Larry Page and Sergey Brin were about to attend. Seventeen years have passed, and now the number of different doodles has raised to over 2,400. That's an average of 141 doodles a year, or one every 2.5 days.

(Note: Statistics include regional doodles - multiple doodles could have appeared in different parts of the world on the same day)
